Privacy and account deletion
This chapter briefly explains what happens to your data and files. The full rules are in the documents in the website footer: Privacy policy, Data protection and Online system terms of use.
What data we collect
- Account data: first name, last name, e-mail, phone number and password. The phone number is used for the SMS code when you sign a contract.
- Sign-up data: participant, date of birth, certification, date and extras. We need them, among other things, for PADI registration, tickets, accommodation and insurance. Each sign-up keeps a copy of the participant's details from the moment of signing up.
- My details: the participant details you save in your profile yourself (chapter My details). We save them only when you decide to and keep them until you delete them or your account. Deleting them does not change the copies in your sign-ups.
- Messages: what you write to the Office from your profile, with attachments, and the Office's replies.
- Documents: the files you upload (e.g. the medical statement, a passport scan, a copy of your certification) and photos for service requests. We use them only to carry out the sign-up.
Who sees your documents
- You, in your profile.
- The centre's Office, which checks the files and handles the sign-ups.
- The instructor of your course, only for the dates they teach and for no longer than 60 days after the end of the course date.
We store files encrypted, and every file download is logged.
How long we keep files
Files you have uploaded and photos for service requests are deleted automatically 12 months after the sign-up is closed or cancelled.
Contracts and documents from the Office are not deleted together with the files. We keep them for as long as the law requires.
Health data
You can upload the medical statement only after ticking the consent to processing health data. You withdraw the consent at the Office. We then delete your medical statements from all your sign-ups. Details in the chapter Documents.
E-mail and SMS reminders
We send reminders about your sign-ups, e.g. about missing documents or an unfinished sign-up. Some of them may come by SMS to the phone in your account, at most one such SMS per day. The SMS code for signing the contract does not count towards this limit.
Newsletter
You give consent to the newsletter at registration or when signing the contract. Both are optional and do not affect the sign-up. To unsubscribe, write to the Office.
Account deletion
To delete your account, write from your account's e-mail address to biuro@gdyniadive.pl.
- Deleting the account does not change contracts you have already concluded.
- Documents we must keep by law (e.g. contracts and invoices) remain for the required period.
